Privacy Policy

Anchofy ("Anchofy", "we", "us", "our") is operated by Anchofy, based in India. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use anchofy.com and the Anchofy application (the "Service").

1. Who this policy covers

Anchofy is a tool for coaches to keep their clients on track between sessions. Two groups' data is involved:

  • Coaches (our customers) — you sign up and use the Service. For your data, we are the data controller.
  • A coach's clients — coaches add their own clients and collect check-in responses. For this client data, the coach is the controller and Anchofy is the processor, acting on the coach's instructions. Coaches are responsible for having a lawful basis (e.g., consent) to add their clients and contact them through Anchofy.

2. Information we collect

From coaches:

  • Account data: name, email, coaching niche, timezone, password (hashed).
  • Billing data: processed by our payment provider (Dodo Payments). We do not store full card details.
  • Usage data: how you use the Service, device/browser info, IP address, log data.

From coaches about their clients (entered/collected by the coach):

  • Client name, email, goals, action items, habits.
  • Check-in responses: wins, blockers, mood/confidence ratings, notes.

Automatically: cookies and similar technologies needed to run the Service (see Section 8).

3. How we use information

  • Provide and operate the Service (accounts, client management, automated check-ins).
  • Generate AI features (momentum scores, at-risk flags, progress recaps).
  • Process payments and manage subscriptions.
  • Send transactional and support communications.
  • Improve, secure, and troubleshoot the Service.
  • Comply with legal obligations.

4. Legal bases (where GDPR/UK GDPR applies)

We process personal data on the basis of: performance of a contract, your consent, our legitimate interests (operating and improving the Service), and legal obligations.

5. Sub-processors and third parties

We use trusted third parties to run Anchofy. They process data only to provide their services to us:

  • Supabase — database, authentication, hosting of application data
  • Resend — sending check-in and transactional emails
  • Dodo Payments — payment processing and billing (Merchant of Record)
  • OpenAI and/or Microsoft Azure OpenAI — AI processing of check-in data to generate scores and recaps
  • Lovable / associated hosting — application hosting

We do not sell your personal data.

6. AI processing

Check-in content, goals, and related data may be sent to our AI provider(s) to compute momentum scores, at-risk flags, and progress recaps. We only send what's needed for these features.

7. Data retention and security

We keep personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, then delete or anonymize it, unless a longer period is required by law. We protect data using measures such as encryption in transit, access controls, and row-level security. No system is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information.

8. Cookies

We use essential cookies for login/session and security. We do not use invasive advertising trackers.

9. International transfers

Anchofy operates globally and data may be processed in countries other than your own, including where our sub-processors operate. We take steps to ensure appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

10. Your rights

Depending on your location (e.g., GDPR, UK GDPR, India DPDP Act, CCPA), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, or restrict processing of your personal data, and to withdraw consent. To exercise these, email founder@anchofy.com.

If you are a client of a coach, please contact your coach first (they control your data); we will assist the coach as processor.

11. Children

Anchofy is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. Material changes will be posted here with a new "Last updated" date.
